The issue that started it all in August of 1986 is AWC Magazine Issue 1, also known as the American Window Cleaners Newsletter. Editor Richard Fabry began the newsletter to promote communication, safety, and professionalism in the world of window cleaning. Now, this original hard copy is available in tip-top condition for the window cleaner who wants to build the ultimate collection honoring the trade.

Richard Fabry had been in the window cleaning trade for 18 years and enjoyed the freedom and opportunities it presented to him. From opening and operating his own business in Portland, Oregon, and then mastering it in San Jose, California, Richard never expected he'd be pounding away at his computer to produce this newsletter. Designed for all the window cleaners who see themselves or wish to see themselves as professionals, he wishes them to be safe and prosperous.

Founder and owner of Charisma Image Consultants Lynda Gayden talks about how the difference between professional success and failure rests heavily on the image that you communicate to your customers. The colors you choose, what you wear, and how you wear it can send a powerful message that, depending on the customer, could be a positive or a negative. Clothing is often an indication of status, but communicating that isn't always easy. Lynda gets into avoiding extremes, staying true to your own style despite the trends, and staying neat and sharp.
